Mt. Gilead Summer Art Classes

We will be having Summer Art Classes at the Piedmont for the Arts Center, starting Monday, July 12 through Thursday July 15th for ages rising 1st graders through rising 6th graders. The classes are $5 per child per day, and registration will be Monday, July 12 from 9:30am - 10am. You are encouraged pre-register by emailing me with your name, attending childs name, how many days they will be attending, and emergency contact information, at blantonsm@gmail.com.


We will be doing projects with clay, paints and oil pastels, pencil drawings & multi-media. The best pieces from each studend will be on display at our July 16th Downtown Crawl at 6-8pm in the Piedmont for the Arts Center.

June's Downtown Crawl Was Great!

We had a great turn out for the Downtown Crawl on June 18th. We had cotton candy & snow cones which the kids (and some adults!) thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks Tina for running those! Ronnie Blanton, Frank Johnson & Leah Johnson played and sang live which was a real treat too.

Next month's crawl will be July 16th, so mark your calendars for a great evening out of the house, spending time in the community with friends and neighbors :)

Downtown Crawl is a Success!

We had a great turnout for the Mt. Gilead Downtown Crawl last night! The event was from 6-8pm, and all of the stores downtown were open for people to peruse.

The Piedmont Center for the Arts showcased art from Mt. Gilead Elementry and we have some very talented children artist in the community! We also had art from Celia Blake, Dorothy Kee & Ronnie Blanton.

The Piedmont Arts and Craft store had a live music thanks to my husband Ronnie, my dad Frank Johnson, and sister Leah Johnson.
